Intent
At Lyndon Green Infants we believe that the teaching of Geography helps to provoke and provide answers about the natural and human aspects of the world. We inspire in children a curiosity and fascination about the world they live in. Geography is an investigative subject, which provides opportunities to ask questions and develops an understanding of concepts, knowledge and skills, transferable to other curriculum areas. We equip children with geographical skills to develop their knowledge through studying places, people and natural and human environments. It provides a gateway to ask questions and learn through exploration, to gain a greater understanding of people, places and environments around the world and their place in it.
