2012 was a very special year for the country celebrating Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Summer Olympics taking place in London. Well things have been no different here at Lyndon Green Infant School where we have been celebrating 60 years of our school.
Throughout 2012 the staff with the help of FOLGIS have held lots of different events to commemorate our schools Diamond Jubilee including discos, picnics, street parties, dressing up throughout the decades, a trip to the theatre and the Lord Mayor came to visit.
Comic Relief 2013
The whole school had a wonderful day to raise money for Comic Relief. Robins started the day off with a fantastic assembly with super dancing and acting. Everyone came to school in red clothes and brought a silver coin to donate to Comic Relief. The afternoon was spent in the hall where we all paraded around with our red noses. Mr Yeardsley raised lots of money by wearing a dress, make-up and high heels.
We raised £667.88 for Comic Relief, £85.20 of which was raised by Robins who wore their pyjamas for the day.
